Under the Leadership of James & Kathy Berkley, Judah Praise Center, (JPC), is an apostolic base church
who cares for people! We are a staging platform for regional revival and world
harvest! We exist to bring God glory, make disciples of Jesus and take the
gospel to a dying world. Our Purpose is the great commandment and our Mission
Statement is the Great Commission. Come help us change the world!
About the President,
James and Kathy Berkley came to
faith in Christ in their teens in Southern California.
James majored in Biblical Lit and Music at Azusa Pacific University. In 1973-7,
James was licensed for ministry and served as Youth Pastors at Arcadia Community
Church in Arcadia, CA.. In 1977 they were sent out to plant a church in San
Diego, CA. In 1980 they planted Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Vista, CA.
This is where they were first ordained. In 1986 they launched Zion Ministries
in Fallbrook, CA. and in 1988 they merged that work with Genesis
Church in Oceanside, CA. The Berkleys were on pastoral staff at this church as
it grew from 125 to over 600 in three years!
Our History
In the summer of 1994 Timothy Sherman asked James to be a guest speaker at the
“Colliding with Destiny” Conference in Spokane, WA. A revival began there that
eventually drew some 30,000 people over an 18 month period. The Shermans asked
the Berkleys to move to Spokane to help pastor the revival as well as their
church plant, Eagles
Nest Christian Fellowship.
In 1997, the Shermans sent the Berkleys out to minister around the
nation and around the world as revivalists and conference speakers. It was at
this time that God gave the Berkleys the vision for the missions and church
planting organization, “The Elijah Commission”.

this launching that God called the Berkleys to move to Marysville, WA where they
planted Judah Praise Center as the first church plant of The Elijah Commission
organization.

Our Dean of Students
Elsie
Snow, has a master’s degree in Christian Education and is on the pastoral staff
at Judah Praise Center. Elsie has a passion to see the Body of Christ come to
full maturity and full power!

The Berkleys are also members and also leaders in International Apostolic
Ministries, or I.A.M. James is one of the founders and apostolic overseers
of this family of churches.
The headquarters
for I. A. M. is in Tampa Bay, Florida at the Revival Outreach Center.
International Apostolic Ministries is an organization of revivalist ministries
founded by Wayne C. Anderson, Richard Carey, Rick Wilson, & James Berkley.
Although I. A.
M. is still a fledgling group it has already grown to the place where we have
ministers on five continents in over 12 nations. Our annual conference is in
February of each year, while our international conferences are in Australia
during the month of October and South Africa in August.
